3D Printing Workshops

If you’re looking to get into 3D printing and either dont know how or are overwhelmed by the amount of information available online we have a solution for you.

We are currently in the process of setting up and running 3 types of workshops:

1. Introduction to 3D Printing: learn the history of 3D printing, where it is now and why it is projected to become the next industrial revolution. See how a 3D printer works in action and the benefits of owning one as well as the limitations. Learn all about the different types of 3D printing – FDM, SLA, DLP and CLIP as well as all the different types of materials available – ABS, PLA, nylon, carbon fibre, metallic plastic, graphene, rubber, resin, wax and many more.

Obtain a free gift and the knowledge of where to go next.

2. Build Your Own 3D Printer: Spend two intense days with this workshop where you will learn all the components in a standard FDM 3D printer and build your very own fully working Prusa i3 printer. The second day will be spent learning how to obtain a model, slice it and calibrating your printer as well as how to obtain perfect prints first time and every time. Complete your course by understanding all the components in a 3D printer and how to get the most out of it.

3. Designing for 3D Printing: Learn about the design criteria required for 3D printing as well as how to edit and manipulate STL files including reducing mesh count, iterating certain features, producing custom support material, slicing models at certain locations and more. Learn all the options on your chosen slicing program, what they do and how each setting can affect the model being printed. Get involved in 3D scanning using photogrammetry and have a 3D scanned model ready for 3D printing by the time you leave.

If any of these course spark your interest please register your details by clicking here and we’ll let you know when its up and running as well as a 15% early bird special.
